ummm i think that's the same thing that's on my car, it's stock it's just a plastic filler panel for carbed/tbi/3.1L cars that didn't use the dual snorkel intake. it just pops in and out of place so chances are if your car ever had one it was taken out and tossed aside
no not yet, but i am hunting i want one of those bad! does anyone know the name of it??? it would make it alot more easy to find. no sry i dont have anymore better pic. i have never seen or heard of this thing every untill last week, r u sure its stock? does anyone got anymore pics of it on there cars?

well by the looks of it its the peice that houses the air filter for the multiport injected cars. if that is trul an 83 then it should look like this one

No it doesn't cover any air filters....the air filter is the round thing
. My '91 RS has it...it's simply a cover. Underneath it, you can see the front of the radiator.
Oh, and, it's a completely different part than what you see on the TPI cars where the filters are in that spot.

I am pretty sure you can still get them from the dealer. My camaro got one after it went into the body shop. That was a few years ago.
