cleaning chrome rims
i just bought some cragar ss's and the idiot i bought them off painted the inside of the rims blue and green
. what would be the best way to clean the paint off?

He may have painted them to cover up the flaky chrome.
If he didn't then he more than likely sanded the chrome so it would hold paint.
Either way, I'm sure the chrome is history.
If not, the best thing to use is steel wool, the finest you can buy.

Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
sounds like a job for paint stripper, just don;t get it on the aluminum parts, not sure if it would hurt it.
