nope, the RS has the standard 5-spoke IROCs...some of the most AWESOME looking rims on these cars IMHO. that was one thing GM definitely did right...

I believe it is a "Gun metal" grey, and seabring silver stripes. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not 100% sure.

Daniel took his best guess but the actual paint colors are (and I hate to admit this...) a Honda Graphite Grey Metallic ( Valspar paint code NH91M) and Quartz Silver Metallic (Valpsar paint code NG94M). The original plan when the car was vandalized early in 03 was to use the Medium Spiral Grey Metallic from the 03 Corvette with Silver stripes but the paint code wasn't available to non GM body shops at that time so we went with this as a color combination instead.
I'm just glad my insurance company loves me enough to pay for the paint and body instead of just totalling the car when the damages came to over $7k to fix.

Thanks for the compliments too. I may have to go to the next club photo shoot day and have him take a few more pics too now that I've finally been able to wax it after waiting forever for the paint to set.

error404, I'm curious, did you use a wideangle, or fish-eye lens on the camera? Also, did you you use any kind of a filter at all? The effects in the photos are very good. Well done!

I'm using a Sigma 12-24mm rectilinear lens(non-fisheye) for those wide angle shots. Shot close to 12mm on the 2 real wide shots, and around 20mm for the closeup. I always shoot the Sigma at f16, thats it's sharpest stop. a Canon 50mm 1.4 for the rest of the shots, most were around f6 or so I believe, to give the background just a bit of blur to make the car pop out more.
No filters on the lens, I don't use filters when I shoot digital, accept for the occasional polarizer. No polarizer in any of those shots though.

Oh not much....[looks over shoulder to see where wife is standing ]......actually I have been working on it since 85 and it has had a couple of different configurations so it would be hard to put a accurate cost on it.

Awesome pics guys! I'd love to contribute, but my poor baby is sitting under a custom-fit car cover waiting for a low-compression turbo motor.
