The T/A's getting painted!
Well after working a deal with the guy that owns the shop he finaly said ok to painting my whole car for $1800 and putting on the new decal/stripe kit for another $110. For those of you who dont know my car was backed into on the driver side rear quarter panel just behind the door. That damage plus the cost of blending onto the door (cuz of minor scratch) will cost a little over 1k. Im hoping ill get her back around the 30th and i'll post some pics. Just had to share it with somebody!

Here's a pic of the "blessing in descise". If this didn't happen i wouldn't be getting my whole car painted! lol This is the day that it was hit, sorry for the bad quality pic but you get the idea of what it was like. Im suposed to get my car back on the 30th so ill take some pics of the new paint job then.

Well i went down today with my dad so he could sign a check for painting my car and i saw it in the "baking room" still masked off but painted. It looks awesome! I do have one question for you paint gurus though. I asked him if they used clear coat and he said no. I know the didn't take the car down to bare metal. Here's what they said they would do:
Smooth the paint and fix any imperfections, put primer in needed areas and then put sealer on the rest of the car then paint and put 3coats of clear.
I have heard that you can go from base to clear or just go to a solid color that doesn't need clear? Any thoughts? I dont know much about paint or painting. Thanks
