It looks really good! How did you paint it? I'm assuming an HLVP gun? I'm up to that point in my project and am leaning towards having a place paint just the engine compartment for me. They estimated $200 for the job including prep work. I'd also have to get it towed each way, which would bring the total cost to $260. I'm digressing... how'd you go about your paint job in case i decide to do it myself?

I'm basically in the same boat as you are right now (except mine's black). Are you going to paint the k-member? what paint are you using and how are you applying it? I'm using some spray paint from ACE hardware and im starting to have seconds thoughts on it after painting the one side. It seems to be scratching too easily after it's well done and dried. Good job though!!!:hail:

My only critisism... did you remove the strut towers when you painted? You're going to have some ugly paint underneath when they do an alignment on your car if not.
Looks very good otherwise.

i'm not really sure what i'm gonna do about under the strut mounts yet. i was in a real crunch for time when i painted it. i am planning on just buying new ones. i might just mask off the rest of the fenders and paint under them once i take the old ones off. (i still have enough paint left i think)
Need4Speed1387, I painted the engine bay with single-stage urethane paint from dupont. it was leftover from when i painted the rest of the car.
I will most likely remove the crossmember this spring before i put the motor and tranny back in and have it sandblasted and either powdercoated or just por15 it. same with the a-arms. i gotta change the motor mounts and a-arm bushings anyways.
