new grill

Classic Industries sent me a nice gift last night. Yep I got a 91 Z28 grill for my Iroc......I think it will make a great improvement over the stock "Camaro" grill. post pics of any iroc with the newer grill on it please.

i've got a project i'd like to try, but i've got an RS style grille and i need an iroc or z28 style to attempt it

and i can't find a used one anywhere for a decent price and i don't want a new one cause i'll just end up modifying it anyway

anybody got a broken one anywhere they wanna get rid of?

$52 dollars is kinda steep for hackin it apart but i need to visit Daishi's local boneyard apparently. anyway when i do find one i've got an idea i'm keepin secret till it debuts on the site (hopefully next summer) i'm kinda afraid of wreckin a new one though trying to "fix it" lol

wasn't there a strike in '90 that slowed production of the 90 cars? i'm a little too young to really remember events of the times as i would have been in 1st or 2nd grade then i thought i remembered hearing that somewhere

In '90 GM lost the rights/contract to the name IROC and it was a very short production year.

Those IROC grills are the best IMO- where does everyone get their foglights from that didn't originally have them? I'm wired for them but i have the RS/grid style grill that came with the car when i bought it.

I bought my fog lights, mounting brackets, wiring, and stock inside switch all on Ebay. The fog lights WITH brackets AND wiring were hard to find when I was looking for them and they didn't come cheap... And I purchased the NOS (new old stock) switch on ebay.

But now with of it all installed, no one would ever know the car didn't come with them originally! (Unless of course they decoded the production codes )

Here is a pair of fog lights and brackets.... $155 currently....

Here is a switch for the fogs for $20.

And funny, here are a set of wires for the fog lights for 4 bucks!

I bought the aluminum mesh from Autozone, it was grill mesh with some POS ***** car on the front. I said, sh*t, I can put this to better use. I have a bit left over that I plan on using on my SS hood near the rear cowl.

I dont know i think the reason i'm not a fan of the iroc style grill is look how many people have em. I painted mine up i figure when i get a new bumper, hood and spoiler i'll order a billet like flynlows before i put it together for now i'm just gonna paint it a brighter silver

I also like the louvered grill--makes it more prominent IMO. Plus, I don't think fog lights belong on a camaro--too functional. There should be nothing functional about the camaro--next thing you know you'll be modifing your cars to have cupholders!

Funny thing is... many have done this functional mod and many wish/are going to...

Matter a fact there is a tech article written up on this site if I remember correctly to add one!
