here's what my car looked like after i bought it, it was marroon that had seen better days. The previous owner had done some body work but other than that, very little rust and a straight body.

here's the same side, at a different angle, after i spray painted it. I think I did an ok job, its not the best looking car, but at least its one color and should hold out for the winter until i get a real paint job.

here's the other side, it was so cold out i just kinda ran around the car and snapped a few shots. It took me all day to tape things up and paint it in my garage, and it only cost 9 dollars
Feel free to comment on my car or make some suggestions, remember this is only temp! I have more before/after pics if you'd like to see them. Thanks.

I think it could use a little more work, even a clear coat. Of course, it was an attempt to keep out salt this winter but I would like to have it painted someday....

heck, i love the falt black, looks rockin. I think it looks sweet ***. Not only that but i am sure it looks 100% better then before. You aint red neck for spray painting your car unless you plan on keeping it that way.... or its a POS car that you put racing stripes and NOS decals on, then its actually more bad *** then a bad *** paint job on the POS..... and so forth. Like the work

Looks much better. Just make sure you do good prep work before the paint. Keep it up!

heres a pic of the hood after it took forever to chop down to size
I think i rather see a dull black car, then a maroon car with paint missing all over the place.......
I drove my car for 3 weeks with 7, yes that's right, 7 different colors........
Just don't make it permanent....

hey
man thats awesome! i'd leave it like that if i was you. there is nothing more cool and beastier than a flat black camaro. the only suggestioni could think of is maybe a Z28 front bumper. and of course a big block, or more feasible, high power small block. the looks ver sleeperish.
i'd leave the car flat black if i was you. any dings or dents you pick up will only be a few dollars to fix.

Looks a little better being one color, but you are going to HATE yourself when you have to chew that crap off when you go to get real paint. Rattle can paint is nasty stuff to chew through. Get yourself a D/A sander and good size air compressor.

no_car_yet, i was planning on building an engine as soon as i got the money( as of now i have about half) but i'm kinda mixed between that and some paint. As you can tell, I love the flat black look and most of my friends think it looks cool too. Just a matter of opinion I guess. If I was to get it painted I'm mixed between the original marroon and a flat black. So many choices...

Ok its pretty clear you do a good job with primer and taping stuff off and you already said you have a garage so why dont you save up some and paint the car yourself. It already looks much better and if you could do that with $9 worth of spray paint you could probably spray it up real nice with some quality paint and save some money.

i personally think that the flat black primer look is pretty cool. i think that it says "hey, i am a work in progress!" makes it look like someone cares.

PPG makes a flat paint also. I saw it on the mini truck site i go on. I think it looks good. It gives the car a differnt look . Some guy on the site painted all his custom trucks(20+) with it and satin clear coat. Im looking into it because im tired of the glass finish most cars get these days.
