Well i was thinking about striping my car... Ive only seen a few different kinds out there. What are all my options? Post the pics if ya got em. Thanks everybody.

on mine my stripes wil go up hood over top since mines hardtop and then over hatch not goin to take mine down bumpers i dont care for that too much but they still look aight tho for all u who have them

I really like the style of your stripes. I just got a jongbloed hood ( no pics yet ), you think those style stripes would look weird on it? somebody mind doing a chop for me?

I just wanted something different than stock 92 heritage stripes.
Plus they follow the lines of the hood blisters.

With that hood, you could do different stripes. Would be great to get a photochop of them first.

what i want to do is have a cowl hood, then either heritage stripes or old ss style stripes. but instead of going all the way to the back of the car with the stripes, i want them to look like they are tearing apart towards the end of the hood. kinda like i was going so fast that the stripes got ripped up. lol. anyone got anything like that or maybe a drawing.

 

That would be cool, like the stripes were shredding and rolling off! I could imagine that, hard to paint on Im sure, but that would be the shizzznit!

 

mabye a decal set? cheaper and easier to make. just two big stickers....

I agree. I was going to paint them on there but couldn't at the time I painted the stripes on the car. I didn't have a welder to fill in the extra holes in the deck lid from the old 3 peice spoiler. I just couldn't justify all that work just to have 2 holes there. Then the car got hit and never got arround to do painting the deck lid.

This year tho the car should be totally repainted and a new set of stripes on it

I did not mean to start a flame. I was having a very hard time understanding what he was saying and wanted to make sure that it wasn't just me. Although, it is getting easier to understand. Maybe I am learning *******?

 

Those tribals had to take guts to do, I would say if you told me what they were gonna look like I wouldnt put them on but after seeing them they flow real good. Another thing that I think will help it is black buckets for the headlights, it will make the bumper cover not so white and bring the black out more. As far as the orange car goes I think this little smiley works best=

 

 

 

always wondered what a ram air hood with stripes would look like on a camaro, whats the cardomain address for that car I want to investigate further, all though it doesnt matter now since my 3" cowl will be here in a couple days!

No thanks on the black buckets. I did a photochop of it and looked like the car had a pair of black eyes. lol The grille makes it have just enough black to make it look good

I just cant wait to start doing the rest of the body work on the cart this year and finally get it outta the way.

funny tho i had sen the camaro w/ the ram air hood but never noticed the stripes until it was posted here and i inspected it closer.

i am going to do the same thing on my car when my hood comes in and when i get my paint and all that needed to paint it.

and i knew i was goin w/ ram air hood soon as i sen they were made for our cars.

and was my dads idea to go w/ the 2 fat racing stripes.

so once i get my hood in and primered and get my paint ill posted pics of how it looks w/ the scoops and car done in silver w/ black stripes.

i wondered if theyd look good and sems to me as they look very well.

liek ahh that wont lok good but after seeing it it looks great i think.

which is why i had to sand down to get my test pattern stripes off my hatch and hood were we tried to see what ones looked best.

and used junk dollar store black and had take them completely off.

because that junk paint when sprayed over w/ good paint gun thinned primer, makes it wrinkle n crack soemthing aweful.

 

you guys in this thread are making me get to excited about wanting to get my car painted so i can post pics on here of what they look like.

damn shame still in primer and wil be another 2 or 3 months or more before i can even paint it due to ice cold weather.

that pisses me off bad.

Yeah my concern was how wide the stripes would be at the back edge of the hood on the ram air because if they were continued to the rear deck lid I was affraid they would be to wide and look funny. I still wanna know for the hell of it.

i had figured w/o scoops on doin real old school look w/ 12inch stripe on each side and a 12inch span between the 2 stripes.

but id say now w/ the scoops the stripes would be like 16 or 18 inches in back maybe.

so im goin to go off that all the way to the back.

and like the space between the ram air scoops like the low spot in the middle of the humps thats goin to be my distance in between them all the way back.

man making me wish mine was done so i could show u all and youd know how they went and i could answer any ?s about them.

when they come in ill post the measurements on here for them so u can get an idea of how wide the stripes wil be and spacing between them.
