~Bra's (formerly guilty due to a split nose cone on the Bird)
~Dirty black cars
~a $4 bolt on autozone downtip over the rusty, broken exhaust pipe, broke right where it goes into the muffler. That's right folks, it faces sideways and backwards right under the tank. (guilty, but too broke to fix right now!)
~Dirty cars period
~That chrome stirrping that is like, 6 inches wide that runs down ~the whole lower half of the car
~chrome wheel lips and door stripping
~cheap tint
~craptastic wal mart seat covers
~steering wheel covers (formerly guilty)
~90#s worth of crap hanging from the rear view (how can you safely drive and see with that?!)
~big gay spoilers
~American Racing wheels (excluding TTII's and TT D's)
~Prime wheels
~Fat tires out back, tiny ones in front
*especially on V6 cars!
There is much more, but I have to go see if I have class due to inclimate weather.
Oh yeah, I forgot....one more....
~Big, ugly, sticking out like a sore thumb speaker boxes. I am not ragging on systems, but at least make it look like you tried!
wait, one more still...
~Nitrous Bottle Bass Cannons
Ok, I am done.

Whys that matter?
I dont see why commenting on my age has any bearing on the type of cars I like.
You're not trying to start anything here are you?

oh wow, If you want fame and to be noticed. And you want people to respect you, I can't see why anyone would want to buy a thirdgen, These things get you respect from fellow owners, fellow former/soon to be owners. And everyone just says, "what kinda car you got, what year? OH... its one of THOSE cars"
Hee hee, Ahh yes, Good times.
Oh thought of another thing that makes ur ride look bad.
A huge Gap between your tire and the wheel well

I was only kidding about the hood comment since my 'bird hasn't had one on it for like... 4 or so years now (because of other problems aside from laziness

One or both exhaust hangers broken. It just looks like crap with the exhaust tips two inches from the ground. This was the case with my 80' bird. Finally one day I hit the right bump and one of the outlet pipes from the muffler hit the ground(the welds at the muffler were already broke),so after driving a couple of blocks I pulled into a neighborhood, broke the remaining weld and left the pipe and mangled tip in someone's front yard

Why do you like larger tires in the front and smaller out back???
oops didnt check the rim size! If theywere both 16" I would say WTF but I get it! Still prefer 16" all around .

peeling paint......guilty (few small spots) saving for a paintjob
mudflaps............guilty (lotsa rain in WA, paint was getting tore up behind rear tires)
cupholder..........guilty (built one into the center console, I needed it)
Now......
Driving convertable with top down but windows up.
Driving during daylight with 'high beams' on
and
Driving miles with blinker on
That's all I can think of at the moment

there is a difference between what makes a car look bad and what others just don't like....i agree with some stuff like peeling tint, bras that do more harm then good by scratching paint, decals for things that aren't even owned, etc. but some of the other things are just preference and then some can't be helped. it's a known fact that 75% of thirdgen owners can't financially build their cars the way they would like or just plain don't want to. however there is also that 5% that are just plain nuts and do rediculous things.
i don't like mudflaps like the next person but they do help protect the paint...of course there are better ways around protection without having something that sticks out but some have to do what's necessary. for me if it doesn't serve a purpose that's when it should go....but i can't say much since i've broken just about all of the ideas here.
i have dark tint on a lighter car, 50' of neon, a fiberglass hood with a miniram so clearance obviously isn't an issue, a 4" exhaust for my little 383, wider tires in the rear then the front so that i can lower it, wheels that stick up into the fender wheels when it's parked, speaker and entertainment system that really isn't necessary, paint color that isn't practicle for street driving, not necessarily mud flaps but i do have magnets that are painted the color of the car to protect from chips (they've been in alot of the pictures too, bet you never notice that.
) and the list continues....
lock me up and throw away the key... who's next?

Things I don't like:
torn up center console (Trans AM's)
leaky t-tops that damage your seats
wiper arm paint pealing or fading
license plate covers
using coat hangers as antenna
that's the worst I can think of.

Completely dirty interiors. I can't stand that. You know when you're driving and a fellow thirdgen driver gives you a thumbs up. Then you look at his car and the headliner is falling and the plastic is gray (use to be black) and just VERY dirty. Whenever I look at someone elses car, they never do anything to make the interior at least decent! Like getting some kind of protectant like Meguires or hell even Armor all. Oh and unvacumed cars too.

Ohh gah! If you asked my girlfriend my opinion on what looks good/bad on cars she'd just start laughing and ask if you were busy for the next couple hours....
BLACK OUTS ON ANY CAR/COLOR (no offense, but they just FUGLY and **** ME OFF!!)
Bra's on freshly painted/new cars
Interior matching/vividly colored tint (yeah, I have purple tint on my car, but given the color of my car and the fact you have to be 2" from it to notice it's not black, it looks perdy darn good)
Smoke on startup (sorta guilty)
Expensive rim....H Rated tire....
Non-functional scoop hoods
Rims that stick out more than 1 1/2"
GFX Neons
Interior Neons
Fart-Can Neons
Sound systems that make the car rattle soo bad people outside the car can't even tell what kind of music you're listening too
Unnesessary(sp?) bondo (need I say more?)
Stickers on the car for contingency are fine with me, unless you aren't actually using that product...
Did I mention BLACKOUTS?!?!
Yeah, these are my opinions, sorry if ya don't like em! I'd actually finish the list, but I probly shouldn't take up all of TGO's server space...

aparently this is the "Coo" thing to do in FL if you own an import.... but i hate:
unpainted body kits( wait till you can afford teh paint)
parts buying with no purpose( stick on plastic scoops and the such)
buying a front bumper then two rims then a wing...( a guy in my complex has a mirage with a wing, front bodykit, and two rims on his car... which means he either bought the piece of bodykit first then two rims or visa versa)
having a wing on a fwd car( unless its set to lift the rear)
having a wind set with such an angle that it creates drag insted of downforce( ive seen wings set down so far that they were useless)
hubcap spinners.....need i say more
real spinners on a real sh itty car.( if one of ur rims cost 2times the cars worth ur ghey)
edit: did someone say something about spraypainted wheels? if you do it right it looks good. esp. if the rims started out all oxidized and nasty looking

are's here too. But they came with the car.
Something i hated when i got my car was the v6 engine under the hood. Not so much the engine but all that space infront of it was ugly as hell.

Probably my biggest pet-peeves:
1. Missing centercaps
2. Screaming belts
3. Squeeling brakes
4. Brake dust (this is very hard for me to stay on top of, since I am sooooooo hard on brakes, and I have GTA wheels)
5. Punk *** drivers that lean over to the middle of the car while driving. My wife is always yelling at them to SIT UP.
