what is the difference between american racings torq thrust IIs and the torq thrust D?

As far as the basic wheel the difference is the shape of the spokes. Go to http://www.americanracing.com/ for pics. You can also see what they'll look like on your car - in different colors.

the TT2's are a chromed version and also come in larger sizes. More of a "modern" rim

I thought the TTII's were Polished Aluminum w/ a clear coat? Basically copies of Cragar SS's in Aluminum.

you can get TT2s in polished or chrome but chrome is a good bit more. There basically the same wheel but the tt2's have a sligtly wider spoke that is curved differently. I like them alot better but they are a good bit more expensive as well.

I like the steel Cragar SS. It was thinner spokes that would really show off your brake setup. I prefer Steel over Aluminum.
