i'm kinda confused, isn't the 3-piece spoiler what came stock on an 88? In any case, there's a group purchase in the works for the 5" spoiler made by Hawks. If they get 10 people, it'll be $250 each plus shipping.

nope not all of em, 88 was the first and only year that the sport coupe got ground effects from the Z28. it also got the low rise aero wing(looks like 91-92 Z28 highrise but shorter and missing the 2 center posts) and ya i know they werent on all the 88 SCs but most of em. im restoring my 88 V-8 SC right now and im using my 86 Z28 parts car to turn it into an 88 iroc, so i wont need the lowrise wing. anyone interested? its pretty unique

You have a convertible, I'd stick with the stock spolier myself

im going to use a 87-90 spolier and fiberglass the light hole shut. It will be differant, and very cost effective

In my opinion the 5 inch spoiler is UGLY, to 70s.

pm me about the 88 spoiler as I'm interested in it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a little 70s styling :-) let's hear the story about the kid on the t-tops... that's unbelievably rude to put anything on anyone's car!!

My favorite spoiler for the Camaro is the 88 "low rise" spoiler... that's the one I'm looking for, for my car. After that I'd say the 91/2 Hi-Rise. the T/A wrap around looks pretty sharp too.

On the 'birds I like the way the Fiero GT spoiler looks, the Hi-Rise looks pretty good as well

sorry guys, i was describing it from memory, i took it off the 88 today so i can get some pics of it, there ARE 2 center posts on the low rise. so basically its identical to the 91-92 highrise but shorter

The mini wing was only used in the first half of 88, the second half switched to the stock Z28 or optional on the 87 SC 3 piece spoiler. The mini was not quite the same as the late 91/92 spoiler in that it was about 1/3 as high, and did not extend over the rear quarters as the 91/92 Z28 spoiler does.

i got one of theese came w/ the spare parts i got for my 86 used to be on the spare hatch but wasnt on there when i got it mines got all the studs busted out accept maybe 2 or 3 thought of fiberglassing em back up but i wont be puttin it on mine i liek the 3 piecer.
would it be cost effective or with my time and trouble to fix it and sale it?
doubt ppl here in wv would be interested i dont think they know or care about 3rd gens.
but seems like they are rare and valuable to ppl here.
mine also has the brakelight in it.

Rare yes, as they were only made for 1/2 a year, I dunno about valuable however.

You could always do what a guy down the street from me did and put the 'bird wing on like in 67 camaro 88's pic, AND keep the 3 piece factory spoiler, effectively having two spoilers
