cant decide on wheels and need help with spacing....
ok so my 91 Z28 has a Ford 9" rear end which def seems to be a lot shorter than the stock rear end, my 245/50r-16 tires on the stock 91 z wheels are EXTREMELY close to my inner wheel well and when turning right at "decent" speed my driver side rear tire will rub against the wheel well. the car is lowered, not sure how much but it is pretty damn low if this affects anything...?
now i plan on buying new wheels and i really like the ZO6 rims 18"x10.5" for rear with 245/40-18 tires and 18"x9.5" for front but i dont know squat about offsets, i know how to measure back spacing and im gonna say for my rear, considering my rear end is shorter that i would need wheels no more than 4"-4.5" backspacing (depending on what the max backspacing is on a stock 91 Z) unless there are really big adapters i can buy?
would love to have the european 12-14 spoke style rims but those are too damn expensive so my next choice are ZO6 rims.
any way of these fitting on my car?

well if your stock wheels in the back are rubbing your definately going to have to with a smaller offset which will make your wheels look funny since your fronts will have more of a dish then your rears. not a good deal.
typical good number for our cars is 4.75 front and 5.75 rear. however you can't do that now because of your rear. definately measure it out. you may have to minitub the car to fit what you want to fit if you go larger that or your stuck with something smaller like an 8" rim to run that type of offset.
in order for you to run a 10.5 z06 wheel you'd be looking at something like a 3" adapter which is very large and unsafe. get the offset figured out and if it's less then 4.75 i'd change axles or minitub.

well i am def not cutting up my car. i've actually decided on going with Boyd Coddingtons "Tuned" or "heckles" 17"x11" in the rear with custom backspacing and 315/35R-17 BFG tires and 17"x8" in the front
sound good?

well with that backspacing your going to have some issues so if you won't cut the car you might consider new axles....otherwise you'll definately have a larger dish in the front which will make your car look a bit out of place......of course this all depends on what your final offset is. measure it out.

i was also thinking for the Boyd coddingtons that i could get 4.5" backspacing for all 4 and i could get spacers for the rear....the rear tires will mostlikely stick our of the fender lip a little but i dont mind that much, kinda like the wide look.
