too high!
well, it does look a little high, i thought you had coilover snad you could just lower that bitach into the weeds. since your car is like a show car what about doing an air ride system for it.
problem with coilovers is you can't just pull into a parking lot and slam it down....well you could but you'd need to jack the car up and take the wheel off.
i'm working on something else though.

If he could care less about performance and wanted all-out looks, he should get airbags.
If he wants a suspension that handles nicely...he should keep whats hes got. Thats just my opinion

How often do you scrape?
The second one is too low (personal preference).... With those rims, having it higher is benificial.....it's a thirdgen, not a lowrider. If you want to slam something, slam a Civic or an S-10
that's kind of what i was thinking as the back is a little to high. i like the rake look to a degree but not that much.
nolanr0413, that's pretty good. i've been working on a airbag setup but since i did the coilover conversion parts are hard to come by. most companies want over 1,000 to make me custom strut bags which is a bit much. there are a few other vehicles at the shop on bags and i agree that with a standard 2 way setup front/back the handling isn't very good but with a 4 way and the proper suspension pieces you don't even notice the difference on the street. the handle very well and you have full adjustment.
i like the photoshop for parked positions but definately not practicle for the street. looks cool though.

I always though raised muscle cars looked mean as hell. Im not a fan of the lowered camaros. I think it looked fine just the way it was...thats my opinion.

I think it looks pretty tough in Nolan's photochop. Not practical for a daily-driver-- but it's a show car anyway, isn't it?

i think the front looks fine...but the back....maybe just about an inch lower...just to level off the rest of the car.
just cause it has a motorized disco ball is no reason to call names eric.
TPl383 i have them in higher quality then that but i don't have a program that will crop it and keep it clear enough.

I say slam it. You are going for the same look I'm going for, so the lower it is, the better (tuck those 18's!). The car is not daily driven, so it can be slammed for show with no regrets. I'm running mine a bit lower than that, and daily driving is still OK. Just make sure to make the spring rate higher so it does not bottom out (and adjust dampening accordingly) and of course, avoid the potholes (hehe!). If you are seriously considering bagging it, I highly recommend you go with the new Air Struts. I dont think anyone in the USA is making them yet, as they are different from Air Bags, and even Air Cylinders. So far I've only seen them for sale in Japan and I was quoted around $6500 for the full setup for a 3rd gen. Air Struts are worth the money because they allow the adjustable ride height at the touch of a switch, yet dampen like a real strut and are capable of handling the stresses of roadracing, so definately can handle spirited street driving. Since our cars run struts in the front and stocks in the rear, maybe the trick setup is the Air Struts in the front and Air Cylinders in the rear. Lemme know if you want more info on the Air Struts (I know the distributor). With the rest of the suspension done, it would feel exactly like your coilovers, yet allow the ride height adjustability at the touch of a button. Lates!!

Don't lower it anymore Jeff. Its a beautiful street car and show winning show car and if I start seeing the tire go into the fender, its gonna look gay.

It looks fine the way it is. Any lower and you will just look like some punk kid with a shiny car. I say save your money and invest in a stealth ram setup or a supercharger or something that will actually help your performance.

motor mods and toped it with a miniram.
thanks for the kind words on the car guys as always.
CrazyHawaiian air ride, chassis tech and air lift all have airstruts. chassis tech claims to have them in stock but i don't care for their setups particularly. air lift hasn't designed an actual airstrut for the thirdgen alone and neither has air ride. i'm working with air ride to get them custom made but their prices are a bit high since they will be using my car as their template i figured they should give me a little slack for trailering it all the way out there so we'll see. the only reason i'm delaying is i can't figure out wether i want to keep the coilover conversion and run the air struts up front with the billet hal adjustable struts or just run an airbag and change over to the stock configuration. the rears will definately be standard bags though. i've only driven one strutbag car at it was a newer mustang.....seemed to handle quite well compared to bags in the front. i'm not to worried about racing but i really don't want to loose to much. the ease of adjustment does sound so nice though as dealing with coilovers on our cars isn't as easy as most cars to dial them down and up.
StreetRoc85 350 i can't really get any faster beyond reason. my motor is a highly built 383 fully forged running upwards of 11.1 compression with maxed out porting on the heads and the miniram. i'm running as many light weight peices on the the car as possible with everything being tubular and chromoly. the drivetrain is pretty stout to say the least with a built to the hills trans, chromoly driveshaft and a tough rear as well as plenty of nitrous to blow myself up! i'm pretty much done with speed as far as the car goes, i'm trying to round it out now as i want an adjustable suspension but coilovers aren't really doing it for me and i don't like having a stuck ride height as it looks alot better at shows when it's lower.......however with my 4"exhaust and long tube headers to match any lower then you see above and i'd loose it.
as far as the brackets i have the motor out right now so just before she goes in i'll snap a picture of the march setup for you ok.

The only thing too high in that picture is the Monte next to you. Your car is perfect, if my car looked like yours I would call it finished. I mean you must be bored by now, how about starting over. I was thinking you could take mine and sink tons of money into it and make it look like yours. See you at Autorama.

what about doing body work around the fenders to make it look like the car is lower. Like adding on some to the fender. then it would look slammed and have no wheel gap and still have ground clearance.
StreetRoc85 350 no problem.
yeah i thought about body mods but i really like the lines the way they are...i'm not looking to set the thing on the ground but i would like a significant drop for shows and cruising as it looks alot better.

And Jeff congrats on the 5 c.i. gain! lol Bigger is always better... any chance I can use those calculations to make my stock L03 bigger?
