call me crazy...

i know there are a few aftermarket companies out there that are supplying reproduction wheels, like the ZR1s, Cobra Rs, etc etc. i like the way the 03 cobra wheels look, i wonder how theyd look on a thirdgen. not sure if there are any companies out there suppllying them in a 5x4.75 pattern and the correct offset, but its possible, i remmeber they used to offer IROC-Z wheels in a ford pattern.

here are the 03 cobra wheels, they come in 17x9 and 17x10.5 tooo

I think the last 3rd gen to don those wheels got run over by a semi. Anyone else remember that thread?

i love those rims, but they should have a polished center cap instead of the cobra. i know some other people here like those rims.

They are nice wheels but belong to the enemy. There are plenty other 5 spoke style wheels out there that will look much more at home on a 3rd gen. How can a 5 spoke wheel get any better than the 18" chrome y2k vette wheels?

I like the rims too. And who cares if they "Belong to the enemy" if I was in the market for rims, and they fit and looked good I would buy them. If someone didnt like it.....F them. Theres a guy on here with the older style Corba R rims on his red trans am and i think the wheels look great on the car.

I like the wheels to but Shifty Capone has a good point... The enemy might think you are giving in to their lavish looks.

BUT to each his own,,, What ever floats your boat or finds your lost remote.

Hey i give credit to anyone who can afford nice "NEW" rims like that.. If they happen to fall into my lap and i like them you better believe they are going on.... NOT until that little Leg less lizard gets removed from the center caps..

You arent the first to consider it, im going to do it eventually, but not anytime soon, all you'd need to do is order them in whatever size you want, with a good bit of offset, and then order "adapters" like everyone with 4th gen wheels is using, but have them in the ford 5 x4.5 pattern for the wheel studs, done deal.

I remember the thread, a real nice GTA with Cobra R's that got creamed by that semi! You ask for trouble once you put FORD parts on a GM!

I have a set of Cobra-R replicas for my '93 GTZ. Shown at https://www.thirdgen.org/rides/index...ew&rideid=8337

They are still available thru Les Schwab Tire for Camaro lug pattern.
