And I thougt mine was bad I think the rule for when you build a garage is figure how big you want it,then go a little bigger.
well when u live with your parents and your only 19, you can have as much as you can try and get. right now i just gotta get rid of that cardboard pile there. the dresser i have to stain underneght the cardboard and then get those bags of garbage out, then you'll be able to fit an entire camaro in there. theres another dresser(gotta sand and stain that one also) behind the tool boxes and a crap load of other stuff that has to go. its a slow work in progress becuz i get held back by everyone just throwin boxes in there and not cleanin up.

I found a pic of my garage when I lived with the parents. It was a 3 door/car garage. Huge, but after numerous engine swaps, car work and not enough time to clean it back up, it looked like this:

Our one owner '65 Mustang. About 3 years ago, the keys were lost and we haven't called out a locksmith yet.

Ultimately that will be a Black car with black interior, 15-16" TT II's (dad doesn't like 16+" wheels for some reason). Ultimately it'll have a 5 or 6 speed manual and a built 289 or a 302.

Just gotta get my dad into working on it.

We built our garage in summer '02. Best investment EVER!

Since this pic was made, we've added an "office" in the left, back corner and our '56 Caddy is parked off to one side. The Jeep and the TA are still in there at the moment as well.

True, its just a sentimental(sp?) car. My grandfather bought it new in '65 and it was a car my dad grew up with in his teen years. My grandparents on my dad's side both died within a few months of each other back in 2000 and my parents took a road trip with a flatbed trailer to South Carolina to pick it up.

cool story behind it.
i wished i had some cars my dad used to own they was all nice n fixed up.
liek the s10 hes got now and i told him if somethgin happened to him unless he got rid of it before he died id alwasy keep his s10 n drop in a v8 cuz hes alwasy wanted to do it n talked about it n has a v8 ready for it but hasnt ever done it claims hes too old for it.
i beg him to let me but he wont guess he dont want to drop the 500 for alum rad mounts headers n other stuff to do the swap.
not to mention the work.
point being man itsa good yall kept it id never let it go but id do my best to get it runnin again
just to honor them cuz way i see it if they had it n drove it n kept it up they wouldnt want it settin for nothin theyd want it able to be drivin n taken out every so often for a cruise that b sweet.

I really wish we'd kept our old '79 Mustang also. It was a '79 Indy 500 pacecar. It had the 2.3 Turbo with a 4 speed. It had the full GFX kit and the recaro interior. It was COOL! It sat for about 8 years from '89 to '97 due to lack of interest. I was only 16 when we sold it. I loved the car but ever since I was little, my parents said I'd never get it because it was too collectible. I remember driving around with my dad as a kid and people would ask him at a redlight or stop sign if he wanted to sell it!

I only found out that they WOULD have given it to me the day that they actually sold it for $1700!! My neighbor who bought it got it running again in about 2 hours and he took me for a ride. Holy crap that thing was fast!

My neighbor had a 69RS that he sold for $800 a few years before I got my license. I would have bought that in a secont. It wasn't a rust bucket either, it was a daily driver in decent shape.

just be happy you have a garage one car or 10....it's hard to keep a car nice when you can't keep it out of danger.

So go to a dealer and make like you want to buy one and take a test drive. Oh, and it doesn't work when your 18 and try it at the ferrari dealer

It depends, if you show up driving a Porsche or a Vette they will let you. Be well dressed, i mean well dressed, suit and tie. It is all in presentation. If you look rich and young they know they can bleed you dry.

GTA-SPD, I got it @ work, Schuck's (same as Checker or Kragen). They were very limited, pretty cheap too ($40, $35 on sale). It's not super quality but since the car sits inside it really does the trick, cool huh?

I see you're in CO, you should be able to find a CSK store near you (store locator @ www.schucks.com). If a store is out, make them search the district, and if necessary, have them transfer one from my discrict in OR

It's the family business. My dad's been in auto body for over 25 years, but he finally got his own shop 2 years ago.. Yes i spend most of my time there (sometimes too much according to my girlfriend) but anyways it's only about 5 minutes away from the house.

check out the paint booth (nevemind the st*ng)

Thanks, I'll be going to Checker tonight to see if they got em. Around here, the import thing is so big, they usually carry stuff like that. Maybe I'll get lucky and get one too.

They think pretty highly of them. I'm not opposed to spending $400 on a car cover, but if I do, it will be a custom fit one with a GTA logo on it. I just want one to keep the cat prints off the car in the garage, and to keep the paint fromn getting any worse. I think the flames would be cool, that's all.

Crappy O'reilly's banner. What can I say, it was hanging there when I bought the place. And I do have a big banner that says "Welcome Race Fans" that me and my bro sort of ummm confiscated from the Super Chevy Show in 2001.
