does anyone know which color red GM used on the 85 IROC Z Decals. Was it tomato red or intense red. Thanks

why dont you just buy the decals then , the color red they used for the car was gm bright red for 85, i dont know if this helps but, o well.

 

There are soooooo many different colors of red vinyl. Tomato, and Intense are just two. If a sign shop gave you those choices, they're just being lazy, and don't want to have to order a specific color that they don't stock. Our shop stocks about 8 reds, and that's just from 1 brand!!! Actually I've never heard of intense red, although I've seen intense blue.....


...either way it doesn't matter. The IROC decals are printed on clear, so the red color you're looking for is an ink color, not a vinyl color. What I would do is see if a sign shop will let you borrow a PMS (Pantone Matching System) chart, and then they can match a vinyl color to the PMS color you chose.

....do you have red pinstripes? ...they ARE a vinyl color. You can ask for vinyl samples too, and then just match them to your pins.
