Another 91-92 Camaro GFX swap on IROC...
I started my 91-92 GFX swap on my IROC-Z today. I noticed a few fitment differences obviously...
First thing, the rear 1/4 gfx and bumper as significantly more "flared" out than the 85-90 ones. I am really glad I got the 1/4's too now.
The rear bumper was a simple remove and replace deal. A few nuts and some clips and voila, bumper off! My original bumper made the tail pipe stick out about 1" from the rear and with the new bumper it actually it tucked under it about 1/2".
As for the rockers and door GFX, easy removal. I almost forgot about the 2 screws behind the Z28 emblems...
Anyhoo, installation HOPEFULLY will go smoothly as I will have to drill holes to fit all the side peices on.
Overall, I'm really excited! BTW: I found out what was rattling around in my door - GLASS! Tons of broken peices all over inside the door.
Anyway, later.

how did u get the front part of the door GFX on??? my 86 had 2 screws that went into the 2 holes.. when i put the 91 z28 gfx on, they didnt have those holes and when i made my own holes, they still didnt fit.
I've done it to my 89 RS, and it looks like I'm gonna be doing it to my 89 IROC pretty soon here too. As for the sideskirts, you might have drilled the holes wrong. When I took the pre 91-92 sideskirts off my 89 RS, I had the same deal, two screws under where the RS decal was. Removed em and drilled new holes for the new sideskirts. Slapped em on, and attached the brackets from the inside (by removing portion of the front fenderwell) and the fronts were on. For the rear, I had to use a saw to cut some parts of metal off the body near the rear portion fo the sideskirts (right behind the door). Just didnt fit right untill I cut some of that metal away. I think the 91-92 pieces look better since they hang a bit lower. But dont worry guys, I always retain the proper badges (RS, IROC-Z, Z28).
