painting camaro rims/wheels
painting camaro rims/wheels
hi, i have chrome wheels on my camaro now, but winter is soon aproaching, and i am gonna put my factory 89 rs rims back on. they are the common type that most people have, but they are black, that match my black car. i don't really like the way they look, so i would like to paint them in a silver or chromish type color. does anyone have any suggestions for this? color, type of paint, how to paint. keep in mind, these are just for the winter months. thank you
Camaro 22, I reconditioned my factory wheels on my GTO and it was not that hard. The hardest part was getting them prepped. I removed all the little trim pieces and sand blasted the wheels with very low pressure.
DupliColor makes a wheel paint that matches a lot of the factory colors. With the GTO wheels they were two different colors so I mask off one section and painted it and then did the other color after the first section dried.
Eastwood makes a lot of things for detailing. You could check with them for material or more information. http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/cgi-b...E=default2.htm
