Hey man, congrads on the hood, I love the way they look...but I'll let you be my "tester" if you get it, and like the way it fits / looks...and you think that the quality is worth it then let me know man....thanks...and of course, you know we are ALL waiting for pics...

as a side note....can't people just grow up? We have hundreds dead in Iraq and everybody is worried about what is r i c e or not...personally I find beauty in all cars...sure, there are some cars with kits and loud tips that definetly aren't worthy of any type of award...however I have seen some "r i c e" that made me turn my head a couple of times....its all in taste and how things are done....I have a third gen because of the cost, engine, and really extensive community I have to fall back on, AKA these boards...but lately I've just seen bashing and fighting left and right....take it easy guys...we're here for one reason....we all either like, love, or deal with third generation camaros and birds / TA's.....and I know I'm not a mod or anything...hell, I don't even post all that much, I just observe.......but I do have one request...please don't reply to this and have the immature excuse "well he started it by saying blah blah blah"...enough is enough....

sorry if this post seems rather long, all this bickering just annoys me

I know its a trend and people like, but not painting a CF hood seems retarded to me.

Theres fiberglass hoods out everywhere, and people dont run around with them unpainted. Fiberglss spoilers, Fiberglass door skins, GFX, and on and on. I dont know why you would leave CF unpainted and not Fiberglass. Its just a lighter material for reinforcing a casting or lay up resin, just seems silly to me to leave it unpainted.

That being said, looks like a sweet hood, cant wait to see some pics of it on your car

I like the unpainted carbon fiber on a non-black or non-gray car. I'd make the entire body carbon fiber if I had the funds for it... it just looks awesome up close.

If it was on my car though... It would get painted black.

CF looks 100% better then standard fiberglass even when it's coated perfectly. the texture has an appeal that looks nice where as fiberglass when coated is just smooth and its typically a dull gray or white.

anyone notice the 91 style camaro above with what looks like a stock hood and the vents cut out where the blisters fake grille would be?

$1500 on a hood?? whowzer... i mean, the hood is badass, and if i saw you with it on your car id come over and be like wow where'd you get that, but once you told me you spent $1500 on it, id still laugh at you..
now if you were to say that you custom made that out of your stock hood id be :hail:

but.. thats just me, if your going for attention, the 'bling' approach always works :P
and yeah might as well leave it unpainted, then you'll have the r*cers :hail: at you also

Yeah I noticed that too. I wonder if that's another design of theirs in carbon fiber.

doubt it...probably just a cut hood.

1500 isn't hard to spend on these hoods when you consider the amount of work needed to make them show quality. i have roughly that into my ss hood with paint and finish work.
