I thought ASCD was going to design that hood for us? Perhapes if there is THIS much interest in it...we should get as many people as we can...to prepurchase the hood from them...that way, they actually have an incentive to build them....
My bad, I meant to post this under the post about the guy getting the Jap hood from Chicago....if Mods could change it or just leave it as is...sorry. But I do think that, that hood would make a camaro look so much more agressive.

well if ASCD makes them it's probably going to be different, and not be carbon fibre they'll probably do a fibreglass.

that hood is a great looking hood. u gotta get it , its deffy worth the extra money to have one of the few in the states, and then what you do is call a mag and see if they want to have it in their mag , and then get some publicity out there.

Are these the carbon fibre ones everyone is always talking about? If it is, how expensive is that gonna be? $1000+?
Wish I had $1000 to spend on a hood (I know that sounds like I'm bashing, but I'm not
) but I don't even have $100 to my name, lol
Good luck finding them, and post pics when you get them!!

Maybe you should use the cashflow to actually make your car faster, before making it look faster.
Either way, if you get one of those hoods, it'll be sweet. Don't paint it. Leave it the CF with your blue.

please, if you get the hood, paint it.
Everyone knows how much ricers are bashed because they leave their carbon fiber hoods unpainted (Or make their non carbon fiber hoods LOOK like carbon fiber by painting them black).
Maybe theres some way you could TINT the carbon fiber so that it matches your car but from up close you can see that its carbon fiber.....

Nice looking hood, too bad it wasn't more readily available or else I may have something different on the Z28. What is that hood going for if you don't mind me asking?

I don't see how he was being a "moron", as he only asked a simple question in a civil, non-offensive manner.
You have to admit, SLP badges on a car with NO SLP stuff was pretty ryce. I don't see how you could argue that.

Oh, and a nice IBTL on this abortion of a post.
PS - Have you ever heard the expression "don't count your chickens before they hatch"? Perhaps you can figure out that logic on your own.

we are talking about a hood... he goes and starts talking about slp badges. and he is a moderator.
and this is about the 6th time he's done this, to the point where i don't give a **** anymore.
keep on track, you go off track and start irritating me, you're going to get it from me. simple as that.
and unlike other people... i have a temper that i will display because this isn't a popularity contest for me. i could give a rat's *** what people think

You're right, I did get a little off topic. But I'm not one to harp on people for staying strictly on topic. If a post turns into personal things that having nothing to do with cars, then I will step in and tell people to keep it on topic. If someone posts and the subject changes slightly but its still about their car or roughly related (in this case, someone said that you should make your car go fast before making it look fast), then I have no problem with that. You didn't snap off on him for saying you should make it go fast first, so like I said.. if you have a problem, take it to PMs. Thank you.

Yeah, the hood does look good unpainted, but I still think that it would look BETTER if it were painted or at least had a blue tint to it....thats just my opinion though, good luck with the hood :-)

1. Don't paint the hood if you're actually getting one.
2. I'd be willing to bet that the SLP runners won't make your car faster.
3. Cash flow? Is selling copyrighted photos on Ebay that lucrative, lol?
4. That blue Z28 is awesome.

I think that this hood would look awsome on a fourth gen...
There was actually a Mechem trans am (LS1) at the World of Wheels in Boston this year that had a hood similar to this one, it looked awsome.....
But then again i've only seen this hood from this one angle, any other pics of it?
