Here's my brother's black/gold '84 T/A. BIG dent on his passenger side door(someone nailed him a 20mph in an Exlporer) and the rear wheel well were some biotch decided to make a wide turn around a car and happened to hit him there.

pic 2 The only good thing about it was that it was already a POS and now he'll have to get another T/A sooner than later.

I hate seeing the damaged cars. I can't wait til I have enough money to fix mine. Sorry to see about your brother's car too. I bought mine the way it is. The guy was drunk one time driving it and hit some mailboxes sideways and then slid into some railroad ties.

Yeah thanks.I hate seeing damaged cars too especially 84's with the aero package, not too many left around.

Looks like bad weather/road salt, living near the coast or it was parked on grass that caused those rusted areas on your car.

1000.00 or best. needs brake pads and the pass. side door is stuck shut. Needs to be unhooked at the latch. Dumbass bro got his coat stuck in the door. and yanked off the latch.

I don't really like that considering that Our cars are getting HARD to find in nice shape. Youre willing to just say, EH it was a POS and didnt run quite right, he'll just get another. Well pretty soon there wont be any "others" that we (especially me on my budget) can afford. Its terrible that people are willing to just "throw our cars away" becuase they arent perfect and wont take the time to fix them

well fact is. There is tons of our cars made. Look at production numbers. its not exactly numbers like GNXs. Look at your local junkyard and youll see just how many people gave up on their firebird or camaro.

how much are those? Those are pretty sweet. Kinda look like something like I want. But I want outlaw1s. I dislike the outlaw 2s. I like the dish style alot better.

id prolly be ashamed to drive such a nice car with such bad body damage. If there wasnt such damage to the car I would think it would be a sweet car. Was it the other persons fault and he just kept the money or what? My T/A is almost the same color scheme. But in better shape for some reason though I like the car. Maybe its those t/a 5.0 stickers on the side. those are cool.

I really don't mind too much of what other people think when I drive mine cause it's so fun to drive. I used to have to climb through the driver's side window like Dukes of Hazzard because of the damage, couldn't open the door. But I managed to work that out to open it now with no problems. I like the Outlaw 1s myself.

1.You totally misinterpreted what i meant and all I was talking about was a $700 '84 T/A(price he bought it for).
2.It's none of your business since that you don't know his situation or the condition of the car.
3.He doesn't have the money or the time to fix it.
4.He would have fixed it if it weren't for that BIG dent which destroyed the door, dented in the front of the rear 1/4 panel and bent the a pillar. He put in a new 350 crate motor 3 years ago along with new exhaust.
5.THEN there is the rear driver's side wheel well. Then there is the messed up rear bumper cover and possibly the bumper itself. Then there is a scraped/dent on the front pass fender. Then the T-tops leak. Then the power antenna is bent and doesn't work. Then the interior is complete crap(needs:upholstry, carpet, center console lid/bracket,new rear defroster wires, defroster lines,headliner/board,sunvisors,the speaker covers for the 6x9s,i.e. EVERYTHING!)
6.It needs a paint job and new decals.
7.It needs new driver's side ground efx, rear bumper ground efx x2.
8.Wheels are scuffed up.
9.The transmission now leaks bad.
10.The passside windsheild wiper broke(piece that holds the wiper)
11.It's missing the air damn.
13.Rain gets in through the hood buldge.
14.He has other interests and hobbies that take presedence over his car.
15.These cars aren't going to be worth anything for a VERY long time.
16.Take some valium.

Both accidents were the other people's fault.I already mentioned the wheel well incident but as for the pass door..A "security' guard,at the college my brother attends, ran a stop sign in the parking lot and didn't see my brother's car until it was too late. The guy had no insurance(he was dropped by his insurance co.)He found out that later from the guy's insurance company. So then my brother's company gave him a check for the price of the car(they totalled it) since he was going to keep the engine and give them the car afterwards. He plans on putting the engine in another 3rdgen T/A[thereby saving another ,rare ,3rdgen from iniment doom ] Still mad at him now Sir Speed Alot?

It was civil until somebody spoke up about a situation he knows nothing about and unrightfully took things out of proportion.

871LEIroc Sorry about mucking up your thread.

Hey Tie!

Yeah I know all about that 91 GTA--but am not crazy on the looks.

Now a black and gold Trans Am.......those are getting rare!
I saw one a few weeks back.

Don't worry--it will be quite awhile before I get an F-body again.
Might just go 2nd gen So I won't try to upstage ya ...at least not yet!

91Zman--no worries. At least you guys aren't swearing back and forth at eachoher, like on another messageboard. where I seem to have that problem.

Thanks 871LEIroc, you might see more of it this summer in Hemmings Muscle Car Mag, the asst. editor is coming out to shoot it.

I have always liked the black and gold, PMD brought out this combo in the 1976 Trans Am 40th Anniversary Model.

A friend of mine in school bought Kenny Roberts wife's car, a 77 special edition. Kenny brought it over from Nevada and it was a 400 - 4speed combo, something that was taboo to us CA types in the later 70's.
