Cleaning bugs on the front

How do you guys clean the bugs from the front of your car?
It's difficult to get them off and I don't want to scratch the paint.
They never come off using just a sponge. I always have to kind of scratch them off with my fingernail. This takes too much time.
What do you guys recommend?

If you can keep a good layer of wax on the front, they come off easier. I use some bug and tar remover. You spray it on and let it sit a minute or two and rub em off with a sponge. They can still be a bit stubborn, but the bug remover makes it a lot easier. You can get it at Wal-Mart for a few bucks. Simple Green works good too. Don't get the automotive Simple Green, go get the regular household stuff. The automotive stuff isn't as good or as strong in my opinion. Matt

I've heard that Simple Green can damage the paint finish, though.

and it can, shouldn't use simple green more then a 50/50 mixture with water and it still can eat your paint.....use a good soap and a 100% cotton wash mit or pad. just use some elbow work but if you have to press so hard your pushing your bumper in then something is wrong.

if it isn't working to your liking either try a clay bar or an actual bug/wax/tar remover. 3m is just one of the companies that makes it.

next time put a good polish coat on your paint so it's smooth and you shouldn't have a problem.

i work at a carwash, so i got it easy, but we use some bug removing chemicals and pressure washers.
