Waxing black stripes

I just got a red 89 RS Convertible that has wide black stripes on the hood and trunk lid. I want to get a good wax job on it, but have been warned by some folks that the wax may cause problems with the black stripes (I'm not sure at this point if they are decals or paint). Any comments/suggestions? Recommendations for good wax...I've seen the discussions for Zano vs. Liquid Glass, etc.

Zaino will not hurt your stripes. That is what I would use or make sure you do not get any regular wax on the stripe if it is a decal.
