Did you photochop that on, or is it real?

I think it looks pretty good.

thats an interesting idea. it looks good on pixel but it would take a huge talent to pull that off in real life. still cool in my book though.

It is... just the bottom half. I'm liking the whole mostly 4th gen thirdgen idea.

NO, don’t do it!! I don’t think it looks good at all. I like your idea for the back bumper better.

I dont really like it. Personally I think the styling of the 3rd gen camaro is light years better then the 4th. If I was to ever buy a 4th it would deff. be a trans am. Forgive me to say this but 4th gen maros are butt ugly.

I'm not saying you're in this category - but you gotta admit, we have a lot of 3rdgenners with ideas but are all just talk. I can understand wanting to gauge reaction from your peers, but in my mind the point of custom work is to fashion the car as it is in your mind's eye, then unveil the finished product to the world. Besides, there isn't any opinion more important than your own.

Even so, it's prudent to suspend belief until you see actual physical results. Sorry, but I'm a born skeptic - especially when ambitions might be larger than circumstances allow.

Looks pretty good. And what better place to float a trial balloon than on here with your 3rdgen peers.

The 3rdgen Camaros look way better to me than 4thgen but some of those parts look trick.

Show em as you come up with them.

agreed, I like the thirdgen look better. they weigh less too so it just sweetens the deal. However, I'd think that having 4th gen front and rear bumpers, perhaps ground effects and an SS hood would make a really cool looking third gen. At least I can say the front you posted and an SS hood would be an awesome 3rd and a half gen look

If you get the whole 4thgen thing done it be kick *** and One of a kind.. But how the hell are you going to line up that front end? the new ones are way pointy compared to the 3gens..But either way, if you pull it off Bad *** man! good luck bro!

Looks interesting...you will certainly have one unique Camaro when you are done. Personally, I always preferred thirdgen looks over fourthgens (by a huge margin), so i would leave it as is...
good luck!

I think it will be kickass if you can pull it off. Personally, I like the looks of my 3rdgen just the way it is now (maybe with some nicer rims and new paint though.)

someone needs to take his copy of photoshop away

to be practicle, its impossible to make that photoshop real.....the front end sizes are different, the nose mount differently.....

...why don't you just buy a cheap fourth gen and put your 3rd gen seats in it....then you will have your 4th gen 3rd gen.....

So how are you gonna do it? I'm assuming you'll graft on certain pieces with fiberglass and bondo and smooth out the lines and edges. Once you do that are you gonna make a mold and re-create it in fiberglass? That way you have one solid complete piece. Please tell me that is what you're gonna do and not just hack up two bumpers and hope the bondo holds. I like the idea though, it give the thirdgen a facelift...I think its subtle and not too over the top, if done right it should look killer. A lot better than the kits that are out there currently for our cars. Good luck with everything =)

First thing I thought when I saw that was this - make the grill the third gen one... Chop it I bet it would look better... My two cents at least.

why not? He knows im messing with him, even if you don't. I'm a very sarcastic person, and I enjoy messing with my fellow 3rd genners.

if he uses that nose, he is going to have to get a 4th gen SS hood to match for sure......and then 4th gen motor, cause that would only be prudent. After that, some 4th gen seats/dash/rims.... :lala:

I think thats funny as hell, sort of what I was thinking also, Why turn your third gen into a fourth gen? Unless of course you have way to much time and money and are eccentric enough just to do it for the sake of doing it.

I like the ideas of swapping in LS1's and fourth gen seats, all for obvious reasons, but beyond that I have a third gen because i like the style (not to mention I could afford one).

I think almost everyone agrees. The looks of the 4th gen camaros deff. did not match the engines. 4Th gen firebirds are different story. Those are styled perfectly. Cause they didnt go way off base.

I just dont think it flows well with the car. The car is a squared off looking car with straight body lines and that front end has round lines to it that dont match anything else on the car.

Hmm....It is a creative idea...but I will have to say that I personally do not like it. It 'softens' the way a 3rd gen looks.
The whole look about a 3rdgen are the angular shapes..the tough IN YOUR FACE look.

In any case, good luck with it.

You know, I've seen that done before. I was walking around Mexico and saw it on a white 91 RS. He did the bottom half of the bumper just like in the photoshop, but there was no room for the 4th gen grill, all he had was the bumper cover because it didn't line up. That'd mean you wouldn't get to put either black grille in (if you did everything like him). He just chopped the 4th gen one at the mid line (if that makes sense) and glassed it on. It took me a second to realize what it was. It didn't look too bad, until he turned the corner and I saw that he left the 3rdgen GFX on under the 4th gen cover.. That just didn't look right. Other than that it was a pretty good idea. He didn't have fog lights in the holes either (can be used for brake vents!.. or something) I didn't take my camera, so sorry no pics.
