Clearcoating wheels
I redid my GTA's about a mouth ago and now I really dont like polishing these wheels every week (Which they do not dull but I just do it to be safe)
I am seriously considering clearcoating these wheels. When i was in Autozone looking at spray paint I saw some Duplicolor wheel clearcoating. Will this work for polished alum. or is meant to be applied onto the other duplicolor wheel paint? I only need these rims to look good for 2-3 years until I can afford some new ones. These wheels do see rain if that matters.
Any other advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Redid the wheels on my Camaro, 16 inch IROC wheels. Cleaned them up and used an SOS pad on them. Really cleans them but leaves a dull scratchy look. Then I sprayed a couple good coats of clear top coat, probably the same stuff you're looking at. Works really good on these. Get the wheels off, laying flat, in the sunshine. If your wheels are highly polished you'll lose a little shine though.
