I got all the clips off, but it's still attached at the top and I can't tell how.. it's just stuck there.. IS the plastic trim piece that runs along the top of the door panel part of the panel?? Or does that stay on??

The plastic piece is part of the panel and comes off with it. To get the panel off,, make sure the window is down. You should then be able to shift the panel a little left or right while pulling up to pop it off. You may need to give it a slight twist towards the glass as well,, they can be a pain sometimes.

the window is stuck up. how do I get the window down? the motor won't budge and it won't move if I push on it.

If you have a 2nd set of hands available,, you can have someone pull the window out (away from the car) slightly,, the windows have a certain amount of give to them and should give you just enough room to push on and pull up on the panel.
