Black verts........:hail:
If window tint is legal in Oregon, you should throw some tint on that vert, would really make it look nice...

Thanks for the kind words!
It's legal to some extent here, but I've never been much for tints. Usually cloudy or raining, sometimes hard to see with even clear windows! Lol!
Thanks for the suggestion, tho...... I'm always looking for tips to make my cars worth noticing! I've made a lot of subtle changes to the red one, it's my daily driver and the quicker of the two. The 'vert is a recent aquisition, and kind of disappointing to drive because it's basically stock and I had forgotten how soft the stock IROC handles!
But, upgrades are in the works. Will be difficult splitting already limited tinkering time between 2 vehicles, however I've learned a lot of lessons from the '87 that should save me some time with the new 'vert.

Since you are cool with suggestions, I'll add some opinions.
On the 87 paint the headlight pockets semi-gloss black, do the same the for the IROC rims because the red is just not working IMO.
Also not a fan of the pinstripe on the 88. Especially because IROC-Z's already have stripes. You could also add the stock stripes on the 87 too, but that or the red grill are not really as much of an issue to me as the recesses and the rims are. (I like the way IROC's look stock
) Cool cars though. Only little things could make them look better since they already look good.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions, IROCZTWENTYGR8 ! I know you're a stickler for black headlight pockets!
I kinda like the monotone, stripeless look of the red car - makes it look "clean" to me. But the paint is starting to spiderweb and flake on the rubber nose, been thinking about getting a 'glass piece to replace it. One thing I really HATE is sagging noses! That's my biggest beef with the black 'vert at this time, the gaposis between the hood and the nose. Hopefully a 'glass nose can make that go away. For both cars. But that's a ways down the road, and some more money saved first!
I totally agree with you on the red wheel inserts, the previous owner said they were like that when he bought it from the original owner, I don't know if it was a rare option or a dealer added feature, but I'd like to put some 17' chrome IROCs on it. The car only has 54,000 original miless on it, and was bone stock when I got it. Also came with the rear hatch louvers option, which to me looks awful (I know others will disagree, and that's cool
) They are safely in storage.
I'm also not a fan of pinstriping, but my wife insists the stripe on the 'vert stays, and I will aceed to her wishes........... for now!

Yes, gotta have the black recesses.
It just gives it the tough look, and without them it says "RS" to me. The rims were painted that by a previous owner, since the factory and dealers never did that. Is the car a 350? If you can't remove the 88's pinstripes that's OK, it's not that big of a deal.

I see you are in P-town. Are you a member of the Cascade Crew? I haven't made it to many gatherings, so I may have missed you.

RSFreak, I'm not in the Crew, but it looks like a bunch of cool folks! Between work, the 'lil farm and "honeydo" projects, there's not much time left over for socializing / cruising at this point. If you all ever get out to Washington County on a run maybe we can swing by sometime and check you guys out!
