Will 16"rims fit?


I have a base 85 firebird and was
wonderin if 16" rims would fit?

Yes. Yes they will. I have a base model 83 Firebird that came with 14" wheels. I now have 17" wheels. By the way, if you are getting GTA style wheels, make sure you get 2 fronts and 2 rears (not 4 fronts, etc) because they have different backspacing.

17" wheels? How? Is it from lower profile tires? I tried 16" from a Trans Am and I just plain ran outta room for turning the wheels in the front, though they fit just fine in the back. Please tell me what I need to know!

I have a 91RS..don't know if there is any difference between birds and camaros but I have 17" wheels in front with 245/45/17s and they fit fine.

On factory GTA or Formula 16" wheels,, it is alright to have 4 fronts. It is 4 backs you don't want,, the back wheels have a deeper backset than the front.
