Removing emblems?

Removing emblems?

Wondering how the emblems on the back of an 86 Camaro are attached, and if it would look clean/OK if i took them off?

Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
on my 85 it was a sticky backed emblem, they fall aprt when you peal em off it takes off all the colors.. so if you want it off don;t plan on saving it.

you may be able to save the emblem using a heat gun but not for too long and use something to gently pry it off.

Something needs to be done about the square it leaves... Thats so annoying. I am thinking about taking off my emblems, but I dont wanna fill in that whole indented strip across the back bumper and I think it would be tough to fill the parts in where the emblem used to be to make it look like the rest of the strip. I dunno.
