pics of my harwood 4" cowl
Sorry teh pics are kinda crappy, me and my girl were drivign around looking for a place to take some but couldnt find any, we had to go to some friend of hers house to show the car so i just took em there as it was getting dark.
Harwood is A+++++ approved by me the hood fits awesome and the finish is great. Got it friday in awesoem condition delivered to the door so today i was planning on just fitting it but after finding out how heavy the stock hood is i just decided ot leave it on for now its getting painted within the next two weeks or so. I still have to put on the new bumper and gfx but other than that the cars ready for the booth.

The only trimming that had to be doen was the side and front edge as they leave it long for shipping. If you dont know anythign about glass work dotn worry about it it was real easy. WE marked off about 3/8" down from the hood as the stock hood has about a 3/8" lip on it then masked it off to get a good reference line. Took a air grinder with a 80 grit sandign disc on it and knocked it down to just a hair above the tape line then finished off with the pneumatic block sander for a good straight edge. Took a little time to perfect it but as i said minor work
Front
Yes the bumper is getting replaced the pieces are in my basement

From the inside it is definately right there when your driving it but me and the chick drove around for a few hours and it really isnt that bad anymore. It is defiantely alot louder when you get on it being open now. The gelcoat isnt even wavy its just gonna be a slight amount of sanding and then primer and paitn and it will be cool. I definately recommend harwood. THe under side is show finsihed and it bolted right into place no hassle.

here's a pic of my dad's car after the new paint. we are really pleased with the quality of the hood as well. i am still debating whether to go with this one or a slightly shorter hood. my dad is either too lazy or has reasons he hasn't shared with me to keep the lip on his hood...wierd

The hood is still in its black gel coat stage like when i got it. Apparently the sun and heat form the engine is supposed to fully cure the gelcoat and fiberglass so your not supposed to paint it all the way.
I looked at a ton of hoods since i bought the car but the shorter ones just dotn do it for me. I have always been around my dads cars with big pro stock scoops and such and i always thought that was kinda old skool lookign and with the spoielr out back it loosk great. I just think the 2.5" hood dont really look that great on thirdgens but thats jsut me.

Looks good......
Although i would have opted for the SS hood, that still looks good regardless.....It flows really well with the 5" spoiler out back....
So what's in the works to back up this mean machine?
