I am not a big fan of the Firebird rims, but there is something about the cross lace GTA's with a polished edge that seperates them from the Camaro rims. Its a touch of class you would expect in a higher end car or something...

What are the 711 tires like? I was looking at getting a set of these. Are they OK grip/noise/handling/comfort wise?

So far I like them. Got about 50 or so miles on them. They are pretty quiet. Grip is a ton better than the BFG Radial T/A's. Handling is also very nice compared to my BFG's. Real nice at 50-80mph on the back roads..:lala: I'd buy them again as of now..

They look great! What springs do you have, stock WS6? I like your ride height... low enough to look mean but not so low that i'd immediately destroy the ground effects on the ****ty roads here in NY.

Yes. Certain Camaro's you can get away with the GTA rims. Yours would probably look good too 383backinblack. Awesome car Pepsicola!

Pretty much, it rocks. It's that look that typifies the F-body Pontiacs for me! I'm jealous.

Where did you get them and for how much? May I ask?

Concerning the Kuhmo tires... I'm a big fan (of Japanese tires in general). Awesome performance, great price. What more can you ask for? I'm running Yokohama's on the Bird now. Wonderful!

you can get the GTA rims BRAND NEW from classic industries for $183 bucks a wheel.....

if you buy all 4 they give you a discount and you get the whole thing for like 675 or something, but you still have to buy the center caps for like 35 bucks a piece

you can download a .pdf catalog from www.classicindustries.com
its in the firebird catalog

they also have TONS of other stuff for our cars that is otherwise next to impossible to find.....and considering junkyards want upwards of 100 bucks each for the gta rims, new is a pretty good option.

From me ...First thing that sold off the car when I got it. Off of a 87' WS6 T/A, not a GTA actually...just a heavy optioned T/A with digital dash/TPI, etc....

I actually acquired a set of GTA's myself now for my black Monte SS. Have TT2's on it for show but the GTA's are going to be used for the blacked out theme and to mount drag radials on. Not as good as the ones I sold but serve their purpose. Now I'm on the lookout for center caps and lugnut covers that I got rid of .

Ahh... there's nothing like black crosslace GTAs with polished lip on a red F-body. Damn that's hot. :hail:

Some bigger brakes and drop springs would be perfect in my opinion.

why does everyone like crosslace rims? I think they're ugly. Oh, and so far I love my Kuhmo's, too... got about 300 miles on them- love the grip and the ride is much improved over my old crappy tires. Not to mention I got 245/45 R-17's for $100 per tire which included a warranty.

Obviously, if someone is going to post pics of black crosslace wheels, the people that like them are going to respond.

I LOVE black crosslaces. But loose the chrome lugs, flat black caps are much better.

But definately nice

Good luck, i've been trying to get front GTA rim since spring. They don't make them anymore, classic claims they're on backorder, but since spring? I had to go with 1 used front from fbody motorsports. Year one told me that they stopped making the fronts...

Either loose the chrome lugs, or get chrome center caps to make the lugs fit in better. The chrome center caps set off the wheel sooooooooo much better than the black caps do on the black/gunmetal lace rims... in my opinion anyway.

Even though I own a Camaro I love the CrossLace Rims. Just wish I had a pic of Some Black Ones on a Black Camaro

oh BTW for camaro owners if you order the Cross Lace Rims form Classic get the part# from the Camaro Catolog and they even have the Centers that Say camaro or in a BowTie.
