Need help on front bumper and gfx FAST
Ok here's the deal. My car is in the shop right now getting bodywork and paint (been in there for 3 loonnng weeks). Anyways it was decided a few days ago that my front bumper was considered 'unsalvagable' due to severe cracking.....thats fine with me because it's an 86 sc bumper (I dont like those). Well so Im looking for the newer style bumpers (the base one for the 88 up rs, z28 etc) but when I got to looking at it, Im not sure if my front gfx will fit it flushly. Now understand Im not talking about having aero gfx, nor do I plan to. But it seems as though my gfx differ from the typical 88-90 ones...Ill post 2 pics....first of my car (contrast and brightness were cranked up so you can see my gfx and bumper). The second is a pic of the bumper Im lookin at w/ its gfx.....any help?! I'd like to know soon so I can finish my car!!!
Id also like to add that my gfx are nearly identicle to the 'non aero' ones aside from having spots for decals on the rockers. thx again

Hi Kevin here. The first pic is is of an aftermarket body kit sold in the late 80's by JCWintney. Not in production for over 15 years. It was popular back then to add body kits to SC's to update their look. I would have your bodyshop install the items in the second pic to give it a more factory appearance. It would be my guess that your lower valences don't have the factory recesses for the factory emblems either. Factory GFX can be had pretty cheap from any junkyard just go look.Just tryin to help!
