denting 18in. rims?

I definitely plan on getting new rims for my Z but ive heard rumors that 18 inch wheels dent easily when driving over pot holes and the such. so im not sure whether 18s are ok or i should stick to 17s. anyone ever heard of this? is it that easy to put a dent in the lip of the rim from driving hard?

if you think about it woudlent that be true to any size rims? i think what they mean is low profile tires are more likely to get eaten up by pot whoels

i agree with what you said but if you kept the overall height the same as stock so you wouldnt have to recalibrate the speedo.
