ATTN: FormulaJoe (ASCD hood questions)

Where did you order the hood form again? Next Gen/Year One charges $515 on their site, and sounds liek you got a really good deal. Also, how much did freight charges wreck you for?

Yeah man, I ordered it from nextgen/year one about a month or so ago. It was $399.

As for shipping, I ordered two things at once; Hood and 91/92 aero wing ($549 insane). The total for shipping and all was $1,078.

$399+$549 is about $950. So, you figure about $130 for shipping on two items. Im not sure on the shipping charges for the hood alone, but I would say its easily under $100.

By the way, the guy at year one saved me some money on shipping by sending it to my work. (I guess commercial shipping is cheaper?) Who knows? ANyways, Id call year one and ask them how much the hood is just to be sure, Good Luck.

You got the 91-92 Aero Spoiler too? That's the exact appearence I want to go for on my bird, too! We'll be able to pass for twins by the time I'm done, LOL! (except yours will be the one that can actually light up the tires, mine's a 6 =) ) Was it the correct spoiler? Flattenned across the top, notch missing in the middle? Also, could you send me a pic, so I can see how it all looks together? Thanks for the info.

YEah, thats the spoiler I got. All flat on top, notch in the middle. I really like the looks of it, way better looking in my opinion than the pre 91 wrap around aero wing.

I have not put it on yet though. I have another Formula an 89 that is my project car ( i currently drive an 88) and I am waiting to get the 89 painted first.

The new wing doesnt line up with the stock holes in the rear deck. It also has mounting tabs that are spot welded onto the edge of the glass where it wraps around. These tabs arent the same either, so I am going to have to do some fabricating I think.

I think it will look pretty slick when its done.
