Is there any recall on the paint? It's peeling off the hood and decklid. 87 Iroc biult in Van Neys.

I haven't heard of a recall on paint, but I do know that in the mid-80's GM had a problem with basecoat bonding to the primer. My 86 Z and my dad's 86 Celebrity had paint just fall off from driving against the wind. For F-body's, Van Neys was the place with the bad paint(mainly because of environmental restrictions restricting the good stuff) I can't see GM doing a recall, they'd have to repaint the whole car inside and out which would cost them too much.

I'm pretty sure there was a recall at one time..not sure when or for what years...but uh your car is 13-14 years old...paint doesn't last forever
