black is a very highly reflective color and it's possible. i can do it with my truck and my camaro if i would buff out the door panels more, but it's not really made for looking pretty.

That's a 100% true reflection guys. I've had in the garage since October...and it got up to 50 degrees today..so..I thought I'd polish it (all by hand). Like alot of you guys have said, black is probably the most reflective paint when it's shiney. At the right angle...and lighting...it's like looking in a mirror. I've seen some pretty amazing reflections on here...and this is just one to add. Anyhow...to get a reflection like this? It's hard work...many hours of work. When we painted it...we wetsanded the whole car with 2000 grit and buffed it with "Perfect It" By 3M...we glazed it..polished it...the whole works. Since my car being black...it's one of the hardest colors to get the deepest...richest shine possible (I'm sure you guys with black cars know what I'm talking abou)..and I've tryed about every product available. I'm currently using products that aren't "over the counter" and I usually buy them by the gallon. Currently working on starting a detailing business...we'll see how it goes

It's possible,
and it's definetly a reflection since you can see the GFX and it's not completely smooth like a picture. Almost any color can reflect like that, but black is a "color-less" color if you will that makes it look like a mirror if you look at it or take a picture on the right angle. But it can be the lousiest for seeing swirls, keeping clean, and showing the lines of something. It hides good, until you get close that is.

Orr89, I find that combination to work well, it will for sure help the paint look better. But IMO, as far as shine and reflection goes, its 80% paint job, 20% detailing products.

You can have a shiney paint....but in order for it to look that smooth...like a mirror finish...it's definently the paint job...and the final touches. In most cases, in order to get the most smoothest paint job, the paint has been wetsanded and buffed. Wetsanding get's all of the "orange peel" out of paint and makes it as smooth as glass. Unless you know how to do it, wetsanding has to be done by a pro. I wetsanded my car with 2000 grit...you take the sandpaper, keep it wet with water, and sand the how car down so the paint is completely flat/dull. Then use a series of buffing compounds with a hgigh speed buffer to get that deep crystal shine. Usually that's the difference between a $1000 and $7000 paint job.

here is mine...car is red and it is very dirty...got rained on yesterday...day before that...and day before that... Driven 40miles a day to and from work!
Anyway...this it the roof. Bottom 1/2 of reflection in pic is the t-top, to give you a true smooth surface to compare to the top half of the reflection in the pic, which is my paint. This is straight out of the gun. No wet sanding at all! Would give you a body shot, but there is too much dirt!
