hood choice

I am thinking of putting a stealthram on my car and since I have3 a bird it wont clear my hood in its stock form. I was thinking about getting another hood instead of cutting mine up. I was thinking either a RA1 or a superduty but I was wondering if anyone could get me some info on them like will they clear a stealthram. Id also like opinions and other possable hood options that I could or should go with.

both will give you the clearance you need as you only need an extra inch or so more over the stock hood. both should give you more than that. personally I say RAI cause the super duty is just too high cause it looks weird, JMO though.

Super duty? Like the Ford truck?

A small cowl would be good too.....

RA1 would look good, especially if you can get it functional with the stealth ram!

I kinda like how that superduty hood looks but my main concearn is it looks like its the stock hieght to far back from the nose to clear the TB on a HSR.

Werd, it looks huge IMHO. I guess it depends on the look you are going for, I'm kinda a minimalist and like things to be suttle.

so your saying that the superduty hood is too big but from the pics I think it looks pretty good, is it hard to see over or something? Im mainly looking for a little clearence and I dont want a 4 inch cowl hood just something subtle with a little agressive look.

another vote for RA1. i love the look of ram air hoods on firebirds. id say get the ram air hood make it functional with a ram air filter setup. it will look awsome and give you around 15-20 more hp

It's not hard to see over but I too like a custom but subtle look.

It's not an SS hood. SS hoods are shaped differently.
