What will adding a pearl layer to red paint?

What will adding a pearl layer to red paint?
I'm doing a bright red paint job but want to add in some pearl to make it different. I don't really know how pearl would affect the bright red paint. Give me some suggestions or ideas to help me out. Thanks

It would look like my car 
Mine is white pearl layed over GM 81 bright red. The tips of the flames have gold pearl in them. Also the bowtie on the side of the cowl is done in gold pearl also.
The white pearl will give it a silvery effect..
