Window tint rip off?
Window tint rip off?
I just paid in excess of $170 for a window tint job. They provided a warranty on the product and the workmanship in this price. I got the diver and passanger windows done at the legal limit (35% I believe) and the hatch done at 50% (I believe). All of it it starting to come off 2 days later, but they have agreeed to fix it all. I am just wondering if I should ask them to take it all of and get my money back. Is this price excessive?

i paid $208 for mine. i have 35% on the sides, and 5% on the back. it may not be sticking that good due to the cold weather. just let them fix it, and maybe you can even hit it with a blow dryer when you get home.

just curious as to where the "diver window" is,is this an under water model?
on a serious note, how does the tint affect the rear defrost grid??

I paid $100 about 2 years ago (So. Cal) for the rear hatch tint-removal + a retint. The shop used LLUMAR Tint material and it was top-quality. There was no purple or colordye since the tint was manufactured by a method that used a grey-mechanically-applied-material... something of the sort. I had no problems with the tint. BTW. Do not use windex on the tint surface and slight air bubbles a few days after is normal. DO NOT ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOWS FOR AT LEAST 2 DAYS.
