The insert on the hood blister on ny 92 Z28 has started peeling. I took the blister to my local dealer, and they could not find it in their parts catalog. Their parts catalog only shows the "louver" style. No mention of the "blister" anywhere. The section with hoods only showed "Hood, Z28". I have the parts catalog on CD, and could only find the "louver" style also. I would like to replace just the insert. If anyone knows where to get this part, please let me know. Thanks

 

can't those just be poped out, if so pop them both out, use a striper and then paint them black again.

 

I couldn't find a way to pop them out. It looks like the are installed using something like 3M double sided tape or a glue of some sort. The insert itself is very thin aluminum.

 

lol, i'd like to know also, **** mine are practically all silver on my 91 z.
