Has anyone ever made a third brake light blackout?
My 86 has the external hatch mounted third brake light, and I was wondering if anyone has ever made a blackout for it or any of the third brake lights like in the spoliers or whatever, and how they did it. I was thinking the easiest way would be to buy some chipped or broken one and just cut it out of that. Any other ideas?

lol, well, I haven't made one yet. Got to find someone with some spare blackout laying around that they will sell for cheap (I have barely any extra money). It couldn't be that hard, just get the brake light dimentions, dremel the blackout, maybe polish it up, and then get some of that tough velcro stuff to stick it on.

Yea, I had forgotten about the spray blackout stuff. My only problem would be that I don't the DMV in delaware allow the blackouts in inspection so I have to be able to remove them when I go through

Id spray it back with the VHT stuff and then go to a junk yard and pick one up, I see them all the time there. I was thinking about doing something similar to my GTA. What I was going to do is take the lense off and mask off the letters GTA in it spray it with black paint and then take the maskig off then spray it with a little nite shade to make it all look black and then the letters would light up when I hit the brakes kinda like a light up viper emblem on thier third brake lights. I think Im gonna try that soon and Ill let you know how it turns out or Ill just post some pics of it on here , I just thought it would be a little different and would be pretty cool.
