Painting a GTA aerowing

The paint on my aerowing is starting to peel off and I'm left with some options. A new fiberglass one for $400 or just stripping off the rest of the paint and leaving it black. Do you guys think a black aerowing would look good on a flame red metalic GTA. What should I do?

I would cough up for a new one. The stock areo spoilers are pure crap. There's one on Ebay right now for a good price, but no matter how good they are, they're going to warp and crack again. I think that the black looks cheap, so if I was making the decision (actually I am in the spring) I'd get the fiberglass job or get a 91-92 style.

I just got a new fiberglass aerowing from GT Accessories and had it installed by the body shop that painted my Formula, the price (395) was good, and it turned out excellent. I would hold out for a new one, it was worth the wait.

Well it seems that everyone I have talked to so far says get the fiberglass one, so I am going for it. I can probably sell my old one on e-bay for $100 : ) Hey Jim what are you going to do about your GTA seats? My tan leather is starting to crack, pretty soon they'll look like yours ; ) You going to get new seats or get them redone?

Brain Saughessey (sp?) has purchased some of the tan leather and is currently searching for the matching perforated leather for the center sections. His costs for the leather so far has been extremely high, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Between materials and labor, it may run me up to and beyond $600 a seat. if that's the case, they're history. I would very much like to keep them though.

$600 a piece?!? I know a guy that will do both of mine for 450 vinyl / 750 leather. He did a great job with my friends 79 vette leather interior. If you want I can give you the name and # of his place.
