Mounted my MSD box

Whatcha think?

I overexposed it a little so you can see the bracket I made. No rocket science, just a 90 aluminum brakcet I fabbed up.

I haven't hooked it up yet, so I don't know how it runs yet, but we'll see soon!

looks great, i know this may be a little off topic here, but how hard is the msd box going to be to wire it up to the distributor, and are you keeping the stock distributor? i would like to have a msd box but have hesitated because i did not know how hard they are to wire up.

I am keeping the stock distributor and cap. I am however going to use a MSD coil and I already am using MSD wires. I've heard that the MSD box "can" sometimes damage stock wires and coils.

As for wiring, I was gonna rewire everything and it didn't look too complicated, but MSD sells a harness so you don't have to splice ANY factory wires. I have the harness on order.

For the record, I've heard that unless you have a fairly stout performance built engine, the MSD box doesn't do very much except help out with gas mileage and sometimes help to smooth out your idle. That's all fine and good, but I don't drive my car enough to care about mileage, and the idle is great as it is. Either way, it's not enough to pay for an MSD box in my opinion. I got one from a friend who wasn't using it so I said what the heck, otherwise I wouldn't have used one.
