Quick simple question...
Are they aluminum???

I haven't gotten em off the car yet, but I would rather polish them up and use them than to pay big money to have someone elses name on them...

The stock ones are steel, that are painted. The steel ones can be polished I did a set, but there not great looking, at least mine wasnt. You can look on ebay for corvette valve covers They look like this but this is only one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33617 They are a aluminum magnesium mix, they can be sanded down and polished real well
