I was really wanting some 17" IROC's for a long time, but I saw them today in person on someone else's car and I wasn't all that impressed. So I started looking around for another one and I really like this one:

However, I'm pretty sure that the lug pattern won't fit.

A close second is the Y2K Vette wheel, as seen here:

I think Kandied had these at one point, but I'm not sure.

So what do yall think?

I just noticed that the 05 Vette wheels look very similiar to the Cobra wheels. . . is it possible to get those replica C6 17x8.5 to work?

There is a cobra R replica wheel for the thirdgen. I belive it is called the vortec Z and it is sold by www.performancewheeloutlet.com. With the plethora of 5 spoke wheels available for these cars I would choose one that isn't meant for another brand of car. Any 4th gen or Vette wheel will work with the proper spacer.

Have you considered the ROH 17x9 snypers?

I believe Kandied had Z06 on his car, and about the Cobras, no you would have to make modifications to make them fit, and they are not that unique looking enough to warrant such mods anyway in my opinion. You can get wheels of similar design, the Zr1s are a good choice as well as the Vortechs shown on that site you posted. As for the Y2k wheels, I think wheels with a bigger dish to them would look much better, you decide though

This is the mustang wheel that can be had with 3rd gen specs.

I would keep this wheel on a ford where it belongs.

yea I brought those wheels up for my car awhile back. Alot of horror stories came out about some 3rdgen'ers who had em and got in bad wrecks....kinda like a curse. lol Anyways, you'd definatly need adapters because the bolt pattern is off....and you'd have to take into consideration the offset, and bs.....those were my second choice for rims though

Thanks guy thus far for your opinions.

After posting a more spec related thread in the suspension forum and finding out about spacers and such, I've decided to find something that WILL NOT require an extra $300 in spacers.

It's already going to cost $676 for the BFG KDW's to be shipped and that doesn't include mounting and balancing.

If you do not want to go with spacers, I would suggest the SLP ZR1s, they are about 700 from Hawks so they wont break the bank..
