Another Camaro owner put a ding on my car, Accidental or onpurpose?

Hey guys, there is nothing more that makes me real mad than door dings and it happened not too long ago. I went to my local stereo shop to get some screws to mount the Sub to the enclosure. The whole time I waited for the guy to get the screws I had my back turned looking at the accessories he had on the wall. As soon as I get my screws I turned around and 2 guys enter into the store and it's another Camaro owner like me. I didn't say anything to them so I went ahead and went outside, but I noticed that he wasn't parked far enuff away to keep his door from slamming into my car. Problem is that it was dark outside and I couldn't see if he had or not so I leave and go to a well lit area. I check all over the side of my car to see if he had dinged my car or not and low and behold I found out he did arghghghg!!!! I know I'm **** but if anyone had a ding free car with the original shiny paint you'd want to keep it that way too. I knew that there was no way I could have proof that he did it since I left the scene. What do you guys think? did he do it on purpose because his wasn't as nice as mine or he just didn't pay attention? I did encounter him once before on the road and he tried to race me but I was alreay going to fast for him to pass me, would this have made him seek revenge? I have had PDR done on the ding but u can still see it if u look for it so I'm still kinda upset about it. What would u guys have done in my situation? thanks

I would like to think it was a mistake on his part, but you never know. Its probabily to late to persue it any further becaus all you heard was a bang, and no one saw anything, plus you drove off.

That's one problem with this world. I'm sure that he didn't mean to do it, he just is like every other fool in this world that can't think of anything other than himself, and what he was doing at that specific place and time. Don't worry about him, just worry about your ride. I'm sorry for what happened to you, but that's what you need to deal with if you want to have a good looking ride. Notice how many other cars on the road look as nice as yours. How long do you think they will look that good? If you want to drive it, you will get dinged. Sorry.

Yep, stingerssx is right.
I had my mother in the car awhile back and when we pulled into a parking lot she swung the door open into a shopping cart stand, I couldn't believe it, she got out as if nothing happened. I thought it was because the doors are big and heavy so I just thought it got away from her but later that same day she did it again.
When I asked her why she did it her reply was "it's just a car". Then reality hit me her car and the car wash have never been introduced. So I love you mom but no more rides in the "car".
