I use the Prestone interior cleaner on it and have good luck. I like to drive with the windows down and my headliner around the seatbelt slot gets punished for it. Since it's only the surface that's soiled, the stuff works great.

The Prestone stuff is pretty good. My interior was pretty dirty when I bought the car and I got some of that stuff and if cleaned it up pretty good.

I personally like Simple Green. If used correctly, it works well on vinyl, rubber and fabrics. I guess you could use it the whole car if needed and it won't hurt anything.

If you have never unbolted your seats before do so before cleaning it. You'll find things you never knew existed under there and if the car was owned by a smoker who used the ash tray, guess what cleaning around the seats will only stir up the remaining ashes under the seats.

Spend time cleaning around the tip of the center console to get all the ashes you can without unbolting it.

This is only to clean your carpet. If you have a Bissell LMGM (little mean green machine) and Shop Vac, use the LMGM with a garden hose and Shop Vac the water up. A bottle of Carpet Magic is a good idea too.

For seats and fabric use the Bissell LMGM again with the Shop Vac. Don't over do it on the headliner.

Windows general cleaning Windex. For nicotine stains use vinegar with newspaper (like the Sunday's paper).

My interior was pretty much in mint condition when I got my car. They had a couple of stains on the carpet and I just used some resolve carpet cleaner on it and it worked great.

When I bought my car, the interior was great...just damn dirty! I tried a few things and my favorite was this blue can of stuff from 3M and a good ol' fashined scrub brush. I used it on just about the whole interior until it was lookin like it just came off the showroom floor. My headliner wsa new, but I imagine it would work there too if you're gentle. Guess I should stop ramblin now.
