Considering these wheels

I am a big fan of the hyper black or black chrome look. I also am getting a little tired of the "5 spoke done differnt" look. I can get these wheels in a 18x8 and 18x10 to fit my black 89 IROC. What do you think of them?
Thanks

I like the five spoke look, but I really think those would look great on a black car.

Those are nice wheels. Where are you getting those and for how much? Is the backspacing correct or are you going to use spacers?

Any info would be great!

Thanks

I like the black chrome look too, but I'd have to see those on an IROC to tell whether or not I liked it.

I cant imagine what those rims and **** have in common. Do you know what **** means? Something isnt **** just because you dont personally like the look. It would be **** if he thinks those wheels will add 10 hp, which I dont think is the case here.

If you like the look, do it.

if i was going to go away from a 5 spoke look it would be to more of a bbs mesh looking type wheel, i know bbs is super expensive, but just using that to reference the style

They are $750 shipped from ebay, they are a fitment for BMW 5 series cars. I personally like them. It seems when people stray from the "norm" on this board it is either ri-cey or stupid. I do appreciate your opinions though.

They look good, but just that, wouldnt make a car stand out, but still look decent, the BMW parallel replicas are only $540 on ebay, take a look at them too.

I love the wheel! Not sure until I seen it done if I would like them on a Camaro. They should look great however! They do look like something that would look awesome on a 350Z, Mazda, Acura, or BMW...

As far as if they will look good? No one can really say until its been done. I think the key would be to get the right size and they will look good either way.

What about a 18X9.5 Front and a 18X10.5 Rear? Do a SKULTE ADAPTER in 1.75 Rear and front 2.00 they would look nice!

You should look at the EVO wheels they look awesome and would look way better on a Z28. These in 18/ or 19's would be sick! Its all about the size...

Are the evo's available in anything wider than a 8"? I want at least a 10" for the rear.

I think those wheels look really good, although I'd prefer them with a polished lip. Are you sure that the BMW fitments will work? I know the bolt pattern is very close, but if it's not exact, tightening the acorn nuts can put odd stresses on the lug studs and I'm not sure if I'd trust it. I also wonder if the backspacing is the same.

The offset is 20mm front and rear. That is perfect in the rear, the front maybe a little to much but nothing a 7/16" spacer would not fix. The bolt pattern is .65mm different, I really do not think that it will be a problem. The wheels CarNDrvr had on his car were actually BMW wheels.

I think these would look better if you want to get away from the typical 5 spoke. Too bad they don't have them in a black chrome finish.

Here's a pic off of Car Domain. It might give you a better idea of what your wheels will look like. I personally don't like them.

Those are actually quite different. Those are a 6 spoke vs. 10 spoke and the finish and size are also different. If I decide to go with these I will post pictures.

Nope, the wheels CarNDrvr had were the same style Boyd Coddingtons I have on my 91Z28. They come from Boyd made to fit the 3rd gen. BMW Wheels will work but I've heard about people having to modify their hubs to get them to fit right. I say do it. I almost bid on a set of HRE's for a BMW for sale on ebay, they were so cheap. But didnt go through with it because I gotta finish building my IROC.

I think I may speak for most on this board when I say that there are already enough "forum gangsters" (those who like to "fight" via the internet) on this forum already. Are you really going to buy a plane ticket and fly a few thousand miles so you can "fight". You stated your opinion and he stated his, now you are mad, maybe some of your own chill pill advice should be taken. Making comments like "So what? you wanna fightaboutit?" are immature and and should really be reserved for the playground. If you have a point to make, make it.

You are welcome, they should make something like that a sticky. I welcome opinions, for & against, but the way some people act really runs this board into the ground from time to time. There are periods of time that I wont even post because there is an influx of "gangstas". Don't come here to cause trouble, come here to talk cars.

i think you should get the bmw rims , just redrill the bolt pattern on all the hubs and axles and have 10 holes in each one. My rear axles have ten holes and so do the drums . btw whats your budget

I would like to stay around $1000-1500 for the rims. I also found some 5 spoke TSW wheels I like. I have taken about a year so far and haven't ordered any yet. I really want to make sure I get what I want. I also like the Intro Mulholand 5's. If I could make up my mind I would have some already.

If you wanted to **** me off the point where I would want to pound you out you'd have to screw me out of $180 like someone else on these forums. Other than that, there is nothing anyone could say on here to make me mad enough to want to fight. I got over the name calling a few years back when my friend Chris always got hit up for his taste in style. You go ahead and call **** on whatever you want, If I think its uncalled for I'm gonna speak up. **** is not a style, its an attitude. You can install TT2's and a SS hood on your Z28 and if you think you're gonna run 2 seconds faster at the strip, then you're a *****. If you put something on your car because you like the look, that has nothing to do with ****. If you think those wheels belong on ****-mobiles, go tell that to every Pro-Touring domestic that runs the same style wheels. In fact why dont you go tell Big Red Camaro (www.bigredcamaro.com) that he's a ****-mobile.

What is going on with everyone lately? A lot of regulars are starting to forget the rules here, on top of the usual few newcomers. Let me reiterate some of the more applicable ones.

1. Stay on-topic to each specific board/post and discuss Third Generation (1982-1992) F-Bodies (Camaros and Firebirds) only. So stop hammering the R1ce vs. Not R1ce Argument into the ground. We've heard it eleventy billion times already. This thread is about IROCFAST's wheels, stay on topic.

2. Use Private Messaging or E-Mail links instead of "paging" a member or members on the boards. If you have a problem with a member's opinion, take it up personally and cordially instead of flexing your e-muscles all over the threads.

3. Maintain a sense of humor and decency. Self explanatory. We are ALL here for one reason: our cars. Enjoy yourselves! We are here to learn, help, and have fun. Learn to let things go, people... everyone has opinions, some of which you may not agree with. Let it go.

With that, this thread has run its course. Everyone go outside with a lemonade and chill.
