Awsome! I love your T/A. The pin stripe down the sides are a distraction to me. Other than that, I love the color combo.

I almost went with that style wheel for my firebird but went with a slightly different one.

I like the 85+ t/a taillights too.

Long live the early birds!!

later,
bill

thanks for the comments everyone.....

as for the rims and the tail lights.....yah those were both things that i didn't like about the 82-84 birds so they had to go......another thing i want to do is swap to a wraparound spoiler....but that isn't anything i care to do in the near future so we will see when that happens......

as for its times....it ran a 14.7 when it had the 305 in it.....but i haven't ran it since i swapped the 355 in there.....i still have the CC q-jet carb on there and basically no sensors hooked up.....so right now it isn't running optimum....i did swap the distributor to a vacuum advanced and that seemed to help some.....i work at a dragstrip and i am hoping that tomorrow night (friday) there will be some dead time and i will be able to take it down once to see where i am right now.....

Nice pictures! I had a whole bunch of paragraphs for you but I went forward to find a picture, and lost my whole message!

Now I am too lazy to re-type it.

FWIW, have you converted your hood to full cold-air induction yet? You can do it with about an hour of work with tin snips, some pop-rivets, and some 1-inch closed cell neoprene rubber that you get from an industrial heating & air conditioning supply shop.

Also, I am told that I think it's Edelbrock who has a new carburator in the sub-$400 range that is a Quadrajet spreadbore style, with a whole fistful of metering rods that you can tune with. You might want to convert your CLCC E4ME because if you have all the sensors removed, you'll probably be running rich and washing your cylinder walls down with fuel, accelerating the wear process.
