Repaint Part or whole car?
Ok here is my problem...i have oxidization on the roof and hatch area that is getting worse...i took it to a body and paint shop and the guy there gave me 2 options...repaint the whole car or just those parts...he said the hatch shouldn't be a problem but the roof will be...that is blending the old paint into the new paint smoothly...so my question is what do i do? Do i go for the two parts or the whole car? Thanks in advance.

IROC,
I hear you, I have repainted portions of my car..hood, bumper, front spoiler, trunk, passenger door....(at different times though)the car looks great now and it was MUCH cheaper than repainting the whole car...but, to the trained eye, you can easily see the different shades of black...you have to really look at the car to notice it, but to me it's there, because I see the car every day. If you can afford it, go for the whole paint job....if not, then I think you should be ok. I have repeadetly been quoted $3000-5000, for a great paint job....but so far, I have probably spent about $300-400, for repainting the different parts!
Here's a pict of my car after painting the hood....not bad huh?

I agree, do the whole thing if you can afford it, I just repainted mine and it cost $3000, looks beautiful. If you only wind up repainting a section make sure you take it to a place that does quality work otherwise it'll not only be obvious to you, but to everyone
